Bavaria International Aircraft Leasing (BIAL) has leased one A320 to German charter carrier Aero Flight.

Bavaria International Aircraft Leasing (BIAL) announced the lease of one (1) A320-200 aircraft, msn 575, to Aero Flight GmbH & Co. Luftverkehrs-KG (“Aero Flight”), previously leased to Aero Lloyd which ceased operation back in October 2003 after its main shareholder German Bayerische Landesbank refused to continue funding the airline. Its assets were subsequently acquired by Aero Lloyd founder Bogomir Gradisnik. Under the management of Gradisnik’s associate Dr. Miso Aksmanovic, the company has been reshaped into a smaller charter operation and will initially start with six A320 aircraft from bases in Frankfurt and Düsseldorf to operate services to Turkey, Spain, Italy and Egypt in conjunction with Aero Lloyd’s former tour operator subsidiary Air Charter Market which has continued trading despite the airline’s shut down. Aero Flight obtained the AOC back in March, its first flight took off on March 26, 2004.The lease for the A320-200, msn 575, has a term of five (5) years.
