China Xinjiang Airlines, Urumqi, leases two Boeing 737-700NG aircraft

After CAAC approval in July 2001, China Xinjiang Airlines took delivery of two Boeing 737-700NG aircraft, msn 30041 and 30042, from Bavaria International Aircraft Leasing in August 2001, under an aircraft lease agreement signed back in March 2001. The state owned airline which head-office is based in Urumqi, China, now operates mainly Boeing 757s and Boeing 737s as well as Ilyushin 86 and TU 154 aircraft. The incorporation of the New Generation 737-700 aircraft is part of the airlines ambitious plan to replace its Russian aircraft by western-built equipment.
