Líneas Aéreas Azteca, Mexico, leases two Boeing 737-300 aircraft

In February 2001 Líneas Aéreas Azteca S. A. of Mexico City joint the clientele of Bavaria International Aircraft Leasing. The new regional passenger airline launched its services in June 2001. The company had purchased hangars, maintenance equipment and office space and is owned by a group of Mexican investors.

It recently placed an order for two 737-700 NG aircraft with The Boeing Company, hence being the first airline to operate Next Generation 737s in Mexico.
